1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the website at rec-bd.com, contacting us for a consultation, or making a payment for any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy and Refund & Return Policy, which are incorporated by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our website or services. These Terms apply to all visitors, enquirers, clients, and users of our website.

2. About Revolution Education and Consultancy

Revolution Education and Consultancy (“REC”) is a professional education and student consultancy firm registered in Bangladesh. We provide guidance and support to students and professionals seeking to study, migrate, or build careers abroad. Our key services include:

  • Study abroad consultancy – Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe and beyond

  • University selection and application assistance

  • Student visa application support

  • Scholarship and financial aid advisory

  • Career and pathway planning for international education

3. Our Services

3.1 Nature of Services

REC provides professional consulting and advisory services. Our services are informational and advisory in nature. While we make every effort to provide accurate and up-to-date guidance, we do not guarantee admission to any institution, success of any visa application, or any specific outcome.

3.2 Service Engagement

A service engagement begins when:

  • You make a payment for a service through our website, OR

  • You sign a service agreement with REC, OR

  • REC confirms your service request in writing (email)

3.3 Service Fees

All fees are quoted in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) unless otherwise stated. Fees are due before services commence unless a written payment plan has been agreed. All online payments are processed securely through SSLCommerz.

4. Client Obligations

When using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information at all times

  • Inform us immediately of any changes to your personal, academic, or financial circumstances that may affect your application

  • Not misrepresent your qualifications, test scores, work experience, or any other information

  • Not use our website or services for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose

  • Comply with all applicable laws in Bangladesh and the destination country

  • Respond to our requests for documents or information in a timely manner

Warning

Important: Submitting false or misleading information to REC, universities, or embassies is a serious offence that may result in permanent visa bans, expulsion, or legal action.

REC bears no responsibility for consequences arising from client misrepresentation.

5. Payments & Billing

5.1 Payment Methods

We accept payments through our website via SSLCommerz, which supports credit/debit cards, mobile banking (bKash, Nagad, Rocket), and internet banking. All transactions are secured with SSL/TLS encryption.

5.2 Payment Security

REC does not store, process, or have access to your card details. All payment data is handled exclusively by SSLCommerz in accordance with PCI-DSS standards. You will receive an automated payment confirmation upon successful transaction.

5.3 Failed or Disputed Transactions

If a payment fails or is disputed, please contact us at info@rec-bd.com within 48 hours. For SSLCommerz-related payment issues, contact SSLCommerz support directly at www.sslcommerz.com/contact/. REC is not liable for losses arising from payment gateway technical failures outside our control.

5.4 Currency & Taxes

All fees are quoted in BDT. REC complies with applicable VAT and tax regulations in Bangladesh. Where applicable, taxes will be clearly stated before you confirm payment.

6. Refunds & Cancellations

Our full Refund & Return Policy is available at rec-bd.com/refund-policy/ and is incorporated into these Terms. A summary is provided below:

All approved refunds are processed within 7 to 10 (seven to ten) working days to the original payment method.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on rec-bd.com – including text, images, logos, graphics, videos, documents, and layout – is the intellectual property of Revolution Education and Consultancy or its licensors and is protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or distribute our content without prior written permission

  • Use our brand name, logo, or trade dress without authorisation

  • Scrape, crawl, or data-mine our website using automated tools

  • Claim ownership of, or create derivative works from, our materials

You may share links to our website and use our content for personal, non-commercial reference purposes, provided you attribute the source clearly.

8. Third-Party Services & Advertisements

8.1 No Third-Party Advertisements

REC does not display third-party advertisements on its website. We do not allow advertisers to collect data about you through our website. Any product or service mentioned on our website is solely for informational purposes and does not constitute a paid endorsement unless explicitly stated.

8.2 Third-Party Links

Our website may link to external websites including university portals, embassy websites, and testing body platforms. These links are provided for convenience only. REC has no control over and takes no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or accuracy of any third-party website. Visiting external links is at your own risk.

8.3 Data Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes. We only share your data with authorised service providers (SSLCommerz for payments, Brevo/newsletter tool for emails, Google Analytics for website analytics) as described in our Privacy Policy. Any sharing of your application documents with universities or institutions abroad is done only with your explicit written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Important Disclaimer

REC provides its services on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis. We make no warranty, express or implied, that:

  – Our services will guarantee admission, visa approval, or any specific outcome

  – Information on our website is always complete, current, or error-free

  – Our website will be uninterrupted, secure, or free from technical errors

 

We strongly recommend that clients independently verify all information with the relevant universities, embassies, and government bodies before making decisions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in Bangladesh, REC and its founders, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for:

  • Any visa refusal, rejection by a university, or immigration decision by any authority

  • Loss of fees paid directly to third parties (embassies, universities, test centres)

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of our services

  • Delays caused by incomplete documentation provided by the client

  • Outcomes resulting from changes in immigration law, university policy, or government regulation

  • Technical failures of the SSLCommerz payment gateway or any other third-party platform

Our total liability to you in any circumstance shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to REC for the specific service in question.

11. Confidentiality

Both REC and the client agree to treat each other’s confidential information with discretion. REC will not disclose your personal details, application documents, or financial information to any unauthorised third party. You agree not to disclose any proprietary methodologies, processes, or business information shared by REC during your engagement.

12. Termination of Services

REC reserves the right to terminate or suspend services to any client who:

  • Provides false or fraudulent information

  • Acts abusively or disrespectfully towards our staff

  • Fails to make agreed payments

  • Uses our services for any unlawful purpose

In the event of termination by REC due to client misconduct, no refund will be applicable. If REC terminates services for any other reason, a pro-rated refund of unused fees will be issued within 7-10 working days.

13. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which can be found at rec-bd.com/privacy-policy/. By using our services, you acknowledge that we collect and process your personal data as described in that policy.

14. Consent at Checkout

Before confirming any payment on our website, you will be required to tick a checkbox confirming that you have read and agree to our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Refund & Return Policy. This checkbox is unchecked by default and must be manually selected by the customer. Proceeding past this checkpoint constitutes a binding agreement to all three policies.

15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Before pursuing legal action, both parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith through direct negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to mediation before court proceedings are initiated.

16. Changes to These Terms

REC reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our website or services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We recommend reviewing this page periodically.

For significant changes that affect active client engagements, we will notify affected clients by email at least 14 days in advance.
